Thanks for the info, Kwik! I have checked out "Hughesnet" and know about their packages, which are way too pricey to be honest. I guess they figure it's ok to charge so much to people living in rural areas without access to DSL or Cable because it's their only option for high speed broadband. They don't seem to understand that "mobile broadband" is becoming quite popular and has more flexibility. To compete, they really should lower their prices.
Well, I'm a huge Movie/Video and Music nut, so I'll probably be watching alot of film and listening to plenty of music online, so that's why I figure that I would at least need a consistent 1000K/1.0 Mbps connection speed. I don't want any video freezing up on me when watching and I don't want long load/buffer times for both music and video. I could go with the "Proplus" plan from "Hughesnet". I can afford that at $80.00, but if I can at least get 800K + with Mobile Broadband for $20 bucks cheaper..that might be the best route. Considering all the issues with "satellite" net. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Computer Tech Support" group.
