Regarding your first query I think if you have to connect your whole computer to the new power supply this will be performance booster cause not only a bigger smps will have larger power value it will also have better heat sinks. Moreover connecting two supply in parallel is a task in itself. And regarding your other query would like to tell you that the Pentium 4 3Ghz is not dual core. Its just single core with two threads. Moreover if you want to upgrade to it can i know which pin is your current processor on is it on 478 or 775 because i think Pentium 4 530 is 775
