Thanks for the response, Anvesh. I did a little research and found out exactly what type of CPU my system requires. It's a "Socket 478, Pentium 4, 400 or 533 FSB only, and 512 Cache or smaller. So, the fastest processor my system will support is a "Socket 478, P-4, 3.06 GHz, 533 FSB HT. I really don't need the 3.06 GHz though, right? I'm not going to be gaming(at least not on the computer that is).
I just mostly want my system to be able to smoothly play HD video online(720p and 1080p) with no freezing, glitching, or choppy framerate. Think a 3.0 GHz processor will be alright? I mean I've already got the video card(with 512Mb) and I'll be receiving the 620 Watt power supply any day now. Is there anything else I need to do? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Computer Tech Support" group.
