Depending on the windows version limited connectivity could mean multiple things. Windows Vista/7 has a built in tracer to find PNP devices on the network, Windows XP does not, so when someone gets a limited connectivity on XP it usually means no IP has been issued from the DHCP server.
Windows Vista/7 it could be that you are receiving an IP from the DHCP, but there is no active internet beyond that. Perhaps a firewall setting is conflicting, or your router/modem is not allowing your machine passage...
