If you can't see a device as more than a bucket of bolts -- something 
that is greater than the sum its parts -- you have a lot to learn about 
design.

And yes, Apple frequently does have specially made video cards. ADC was a 
much better standard than DVI. When Apple gave up on ADC, a neat single 
cable connection was replaced by a hydra-headed cable and an outboard 
power brick. The inferiority of the PC design was readily apparent.
