Speaking of scanners, does anybody know what happened to Scitex
Eversmart scanners? I did a search on them, & only found HP/Scitex
printers.

I've tried all manner of pressing & prying, but the glass is in there to
stay. I did find a local company who's Epson certified. They worked on
our printer last year. For scanners, it's $89.95 plus any parts needed.
Better than shelling out $3,000 for a new one (although I would like a
new one--they're about 3 times faster).

Lift the glass out and shoot the sensor and light source with canned
air,
taking the usual care to avoid goo of course.
