OS X is not, I think to blame for an ill-placed power button. My G5's power button is on the front of the desktop chassis. My G4 Powerbook's power button is to the right of the keyboard. The eMac, a reduced cost iMac, is out of production. I have not visited Apple recently - are the power buttons hard to find on the current models?
Personally, I despise the three-finger command required to start up (or wake up) Windows computers. Ugh. Mark Snyder -----Original Message----- Instead, I think it shows the fallacy of giving designers too much input at the expense of human factors experts. These Macs have hard to see power buttons in locations that do not face the user. Maybe this looks cool, but it does not serve the user. Pre-OS X Apple rarely made mistakes like this. ************************************************************************ * ==> QUICK LIST-COMMAND REFERENCE - Put the following commands in <== * ==> the body of an email & send 'em to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <== * Join the list: SUBSCRIBE COMPUTERGUYS-L Your Name * Too much mail?
