Another usability issue with power buttons: what should they do and when?
In the old days, push a power button and something turns on or off.
On many computers nowadays, push the button for less than 3-8 seconds (it
varies by manufacturer) and it does one thing. Hold it in for longer and it
will power off the computer.
My new white Mac keyboard doesn't have a power key--doesn't need one.
Command+eject will bring up the sleep/reboot/shutdown dialog box.
Too bad that command isn't obvious except by reading help files [is that
in Help?], and I use a Mac so that I don't have to read so many help files.
