ELD life was quoted as 10,000 hours.  That works out to 1.14 years at
one hour a day (10,000/24/365).
If others are interested in finding other sources, let's see whether
Tom's fear was more than gossip--so far, his earlier notion is being
confirmed.  But I suspect he would be happy to find out that he can keep
the display longer than originally reported.
