my desktop HDD failed and I put in a new one and reinstalled winXPhomeSP2 and all the updates. my scanner (travelscan464) came with drivers and software. it installed and worked fine before. it is working fine on my laptop (x31 xpPROsp2) with those drivers and software (pagemaker6.12). I installed the drivers on my desktop and plugged it in and it installed fine. I installed the software and tried to calibrate the scanner with the sheet. no dice!! it will not calibrate!! it hangs with the page sucked in about 2mm. it just sits and windows says "program not responding." I uninstalled and reinstalled everything (drivers, software). I googled myself to delirium. I installed updated drivers (signed). no better...what now?
