CNET has good reviews and even comments on how well some models handle
the SD signal. There are also a lot of real world reviews from consumers.

A discontinued sharp aquos is looking like the likely buy. 1299 gets us a
42" lcd at max 1080p resolution. Any thoughts on real world lcd vs plasma

with LCD or Plasma. I'm also wondering just how bad a standard signal would
look on an LCD. We probably won't be getting the upgraded box for sat. just
yet so we will only get over the air HD. I've also got a pc i'll be
hooking up as well as a progressive dvd player.
