The Belt Clip wasn't the problem. It is actually a pretty good one.
It has a spring loaded release so you can pull your iPod off your belt
with out removing the clip but it won't come off easily.

It was the plastic plug that the screw goes into. The clip held onto
the screw and the plug quite nicely. It is taped into place from
inside the case. The whole plug comes out rather easily. I just
super glued the plug and screw into place and haven't had a problem
since.

I had the belt loop pull the part which attached the case to belt loop
to shreds on a Belkin Sidewinder case. The box it self is pretty
tough but not in the same class as the Belkin Flip Top Case. This
one's big plus is the the iPod gets in and out quite easily.
