First off look at my name It is Stewart, not Stu. (wrong abbreviation also)
Secondly I am not a huge fan of Cheney's
Third I have bought refurbed units where possible and there is a HUGE
price difference.
I have not found anything on an IPod I cant do or don't need.
They found a niche, marketed to that niche (I am not sure but I don't
seem to see many ad's for other manufacturer MP3 players as I do for
apple, so credit them for a huge marketing advantage.) By the way
Feist sure was great for advertising Ipod's.
Apple is a great company but they are not THE company, there are
plenty of also runs in this category that work well. Just because we
do not own an Ipod is not sad. It is our preference. Just like
those who are not Lutheran it is not sad, it is their preference.
Your cheerleading for Apple reminds me an awful lot of the Southern
Baptists down here who think they are the only ones who will be
saved. Now that is sad!!!!

I have looked long and hard at non-iPod players. Every time my buying
decision came down to making a trade off. Every time I found either no
price premium or such a small price premium that it wasn't worth putting
up with second best.
And there have been versions of the iPod I did not like.
