This is an example of out of touch management that is not really managing 
the business. They don't have a clue about the processes and procedures 
in their business. They do not know where value and productivity come 
from. They just look at numbers and are afraid to change anything. They 
don't know what and why to upgrade because they do not understand what it 
is doing. They don't understand the productivity hit caused by the old 
equipment becuse there is no line in their spreadsheet for "wasted time 
and effort."

This may be why your company was acquired. The purchaser may have seen 
the unrealized value in your company. Managed well your compamy may be 
worth a lot more than it is now. You will see soon enough: see how long 
before they get you a proper computer.
