Photoshop is still the standard. My son took a photography class a
year ago in university and that is what they used.

I tried the free Gimp when I was on a pc but couldn't get it to
work. I like Photoshop....and Lightroom is even better than
photoshop for regular photo work so I guess I find it worth the price.
