Praise Allah and pass the wine.

let it be a lesson to you.

However!!!!!!!!

It is very possible you might get contacted later by one of the governmental agencies or ebay about the scam they were running.

I bought (years ago) Office 97 CD's off of Ebay. Sometime later I was contacted by Ebay about an investigation they were running into this seller, as he had registered with many user names on Ebay and had run scams on all the names he used.

I still think there should be a way for Ebay to vet sellers somehow to prevent some of this.

Wonder of wonders -- the software showed up today in the mail. This is more than a month after purchase, and three weeks after eBay closed the store.

I purchased a software program from a "Buy it Now" sale at an eBay store. The store had 100% positive rating. The software is ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS2 FULL GENUINE SOFTWARE SEALED, which is an older version of Photoshop. The price was about $140. The seller didn't accept Paypal, but only personal checks, cashier's checks, and direct wire transfer. To be safe, before sending money I emailed the request for payment from the seller to spoof at eBay, and they verified that it was legitimate. Then I sent a cashier's check.

Today I received a message from eBay saying that the store has been removed from eBay. The 100% positive rating has dropped to 68%.

Time hasn't run out yet on expectation of receiving the software, but is there any way to recoup my loss in case I never see the software?
