If you are a rank beginner the hourly rate is not going to be that great. 
A List Apart recently published a survey of web designers and 17% 
reported they earned under $10K/year. The largest segment, 23%, earned 
$40K to $60K. $60K divides out to $30/hour.

If your job has nothing to do with the coding of the web site you will be 
working as a researcher or writer. You may want to check with WIW 
(Washington Independent Writers) about typical rates.
