Tony, I use an LCD monitor to add desk space to my laptop's monitor. I keep about 6 icons on the XP's desktop. I use the space to have 8-10 applications and a couple dozen current files open and/or to have a remote server connection on one and an application on the other. I also use as much screen real estate as I can get at home on my Macs. This is definitely more productive for me (a senior engineer). What do you do that does not make this more productive for you?
