how do you compare the lcd & plasma with dlp, or with 3 gun lcd/dlp?  best buy  
or circuit city have pretty good lineups for comparison.

as mike points out,  broadcasts are 1080i at  the major networks, however, the 
way i read this, there is sometimes a 1080p datastream in the signal
