I assume that this is a DirecTV TiVo  so Comcast has nothing to do with it.
If you get a new DVR it won't be a TiVo.

Have you rebooted the machine?  Unplug wait a minute and replug.  This fixes
lots of strange behavior.

Try erasing and reentering season passes.

ever seeing this mentioned but I don't always read it that closely.

My default answer is the hard drive could be on it's way out.  This is a
pretty easy fix if you are not afraid of screwdrivers-  weaknees.com sells
prepared upgrade/replacement drives.  I've used them myself.  I have also
prepared my own with a PATA hard drive using instant cake.  Not hard either
but you need a bit more skill in coppying Linux comands.
