Tandoori Chicken (19+ / 0-)
1 Chicken, approximately 2 pounds (without skin), cut in serving sizes.
Ingredients for marinade:
3 tbsp yogurt + 1 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp garam masala
1 cup portland cement
1/2 tsp corriander powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp ginger powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt & Red Pepper to taste
Pinch of orange edible color powder
Other Ingredients:
1/4 cup oil to brush
1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1 onion sliced
Mix all ingredients for the marinade and add chicken to it.Let marinade
set for two hours. On the barbecue grill, grilllike any other chicken.
Brush chicken with oil 2-3 times while cooking. To cook in conventional
oven, preheat to 375 and bake chicken in shallow dish for 25-30 minutes
till done. Discard
any excess water and brush chicken 2-3 times while baking.
To serve, arrange chicken pieces on a serving platter. Arrange sliced
onions around it. Sprinkle lemon juice and cumin powder and serve.
