It is interesting that the cheerleaders for this latest interface travesty are the same two people who are always cheerleaders for whatever MS deigns to dish out. The problem is what MS chose to put in the ribbons. Instead of presenting a logical map of the program's functions, the ribbons have big icons for functions that MS thinks are popular. This eliminates the possibility of learning a systematic model of the program's operation. Instead we have an almost random selection of features based solely on popularity. So we have to rely on memorization instead of understanding. A dumb way to do it. ************************************************************************* ** List info, subscription management, list rules, archives, privacy ** ** policy, calmness, a member map, and more at http://www.cguys.org/ ** *************************************************************************
