Its smaller, and Sony usually has good quality sound. You won't be using it at a party but it should provide quality sound loud enough for an office environment.

Has anyone seen a good audiophile-grade "mini stereo"? Mine is now over 20 years old and has lost some functions. When I went shopping for a replacement all I saw was big and ugly units that looked more like boom boxes.
