This is just an example of tech editors at major news outlets not
understanding simple english.  The new os is NOT based on the chrome web
browser, in it's own blog release about the new OS google says it's based on
a linux kernel which obviously it would be...or bsd etc.

Not sure what is worse, the writer not able to understand the blog post or
not realize that a web browser isn't an OS.

Perhaps the distinction between chrome os and android will be similiar to os
x and the os the iphone runs.
