No argument from me; I have some of the same memories. I love TV as well. I probably watch more than I should, but I enjoy it. I've got a fairly decent DVD collection that gets used regularly as well. Comes in handy for entertainment with raising kids; for me, not them. I just want them to develop a sense of the world beyond cartoons. TV will show them things I could never show them. They get into Discovery, Science Channel, the various History Channels, Travel Channel (a little) and the Food Channel of all things, Alton Brown and "Good Eats," of course. I just can't get them into "Top Gear." But, we still have to limit it, otherwise they'll sit there all day watching Pokémon. Can you believe that's still on and kids still get into it? I'm looking forward to the day that particular interest passes. ************************************************************************* ** List info, subscription management, list rules, archives, privacy ** ** policy, calmness, a member map, and more at http://www.cguys.org/ ** *************************************************************************
