What? No one suspected that Apple Corp. was the claimant here? All that the police said initially was that Apple Corp. did not have a hand in the processes involving the warrant to do a search. That statement, in and of itself, does not mean that Apple Corp. was the complainant, yet in the final analysis, Apple was identified as being involved in the warrant process, complainant or victim or neither.
