No I mean we read from the config up to 1664k, then DON"T send a newline then
apparently "read" again (write to file)?

No, I mean we're respecting PREFIX _too_ well. We want binaries in /usr/bin
and libraries in /usr/lib... but udev puts stuff in /lib.
