Birmingham Museums Trust is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the conservation team to contribute to a major capital development. The Trust is planning a major redevelopment of the galleries at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery; this temporary post will see the post holder condition checking and estimating treatment times for the (approximately) 4000 objects required for the new displays. If you are self-motivated, enjoy working independently whilst being part of a team, are confident working with a wide range of materials and hold a recognised conservation qualification, then this is the post for you. The post will last for approximately 12 months, ending 31stDecember 2018. It will be based at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery although the post holder will be required to travel to the Trust’s other sites within Birmingham.
