Upcoming Symposium - Materials and Meaning: Decoding and Preserving Cultural Heritage, Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage, Yale University, West Haven, CT, February 22, 2019
On Friday, February 22, 2019, the conservation community at Yale University will host the symposium Materials and Meaning: Decoding and Preserving Cultural Heritage. This free one-day symposium will feature a diverse selection of invited talks by conservation scientists, conservators, curators, and students who will speak about the scientific research, conservation treatment, and educational engagement conducted by the labs at the Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage (IPCH) in partnership with collections and faculty at Yale University and elsewhere. This event will highlight the many interdisciplinary collaborations focused on understanding, documenting, and preserving cultural heritage across Yale museums and libraries, as well as within the broader community. The symposium will take place from 8:30am - 4:30pm at the Yale West Campus Conference Center, 800 West Campus Drive, Building 800, West Haven, CT 06516.
