This has been mostly R&D, investigations/discussions, etc... but with some encouraging results. However, the MW node team has the expertise in the node functionality[1], and we think that we could be the maintainers of these artifacts if the base images are there. The devil is in the details, but again, lets think about a follow up discussion on this shortly.
