After further investigation...
-ldap is not an option at this point and won't be for quite a while (if at
all).
-unix is also ruled out for lack of configureability (I know, that's not a
word) AND lack of multi-company support. Multi-company to me (even though I
don't use it) is a show stopper. I think it is vital to have this.
That leaves db. The db plugin actually (on the surface) looks promising. It
looks as though we should be able to use user-create/modify/delete events to
keep users/passwords in sync between SME and Zarafa.
If we elect to use the db plugin, it will function like the unix plugin but
without the stray users. Then we can try to work out the qmail/multi-company
problem.
Let's consider this and determine what it might take to deploy.
