Mailstats triggers on the "summary" line inserted by logterse, so we need to be
looking in there to see what might have gone wrong. The line is distinguished
by the reverse quote character in the line.
Can you give us the result of: (on the log file covering the day in question)
cat /var/log/qpsmtpd/current | tai64nlocal | grep "\`"
If you are concerned about the Ip addresses in that log, then perhaps you can
email it to me directly.
