Trying for thin clients to find and load their startup image from TFTP
server works well under SME7 when specified as "Your TFTP server is:
Self" in the server-manager panel.
The DB configuration looks like this):
config show thinclient
thinclient=service
defaultbase=Thinstation-2.2
status=enabled
tftpserver=Self
After upgrading from SME7 to SME8, this setup does not work any longer.
Instead we had to select the IP of the SME server in the panel and then
it will work again like below:
config show thinclient
thinclient=service
defaultbase=Thinstation 2.2
status=enabled
tftpserver=192.168.0.1
This is also required for a fresh installation on SME8.
