when i decompress it i have a file who is
BackupPC-3.2.1.tar.gz once i decompress it i can go to this
/BackupPC-3.2.1/conf/config.pl
at line 998/992/1010 you can find variable we need to modify.
$Conf{SmbClientFullCmd}
$Conf{SmbClientIncrCmd}
$Conf{SmbClientRestoreCmd}
i have never create a patch, i will try, maybe i will ask some support...
i think follow the howto on sme9development to make a patch and create a rpm
