The request in comment 1 was for a patch, or just details of the change that
you have working. The making of a new RPM is easy for the builders, knowing
what to change is not.
So you can make a great contribution just by showing clearly what needs
changing, and optionally including that change as a unified diff- I.e a patch.
If you want to try to make a test RPM yourself then that is good and people
will help, but it is not essential.
