In the past I had problems with just changing from one Affa script to the other
one e.g. due to existing archive files. Did you make a clean install of SME
Affa3?
Did you check the installed Affa3 version for SME? Try
affa --version
The line numbers look familiar to me, and I think this is a very similar issue
as I have observed below, see e.g. here
