The rpm is available on the repo of Stephdl too.
I never seen this error before. Could you please give us more information:
- the backup machine is a fresh sme 8.1. right?
- what is the machine that you want to backup (=the production machine)?
- Are there something special (parameters, modifications etc...) on the
production machine, especially around qmail?
- please give the the conf the Global parameters and of the backup job
- affa --configcheck is OK?
- affa --make-cronjobs done??
- RootDir exists??
- did you try a very simple test-job (SMEServer=no, Included=/test_file)?
