I just installed smeserver-git successfully on both SME8 32 bit and 64 bit VM's
with:
yum --enablerepo=smedev --enablerepo=epel smeserver-gitweb-theme
and this will pull in all the required packages. It installs git 1.8 on SME8
and smeserver-git is functioning as intended.
If you are running SME9, the epel does not have git and it comes from the base
repository as 1.7 like below. Epel is still used for the highlight package.
