--- Comment #8 from John Crisp <[email protected]> ---
OK - I just did a test install.

When you run teamspeak-install it seems to download correctly but the results
with keys are in

/var/log/messages and not displayed on screen

finished.

Jan 19 21:05:46 test esmith::event[3558]: server.log not found, maybe you did
not start the server yet ?

However it appears the service has not started:

Jan 19 21:05:46 test esmith::event[3558]: tsserver2.pid is missing, no started
server ?
Jan 19 21:05:46 test esmith::event[3558]: serviceControl: Couldn't
system(/etc/rc.d/rc7.d/S98teamspeak, restart):

Having a look that is because the old initscript doesn't work for v3 so needs
removing or updating.

OK. I then had a mosey in the /opt/teamspeak dir.

First thing - do not try and run teamspeak as root. It will chmod the
permissions and complain about running.

Try the following:

su teamspeak /opt/teamspeak/ts3server_startscript.sh start

That is basically a slightly hacked init script and we could probably either
use it directly or link to it somehow. Beyond me though.

Can you try running and seeing if you can connect ??

Also as FYI....

Looking at the forum post here I am not sure there is a built in web panel any
more, and the 'tsweb' web panel code in the contrib may well not work.
