Our main server just uses the standard version of PHP installed by SMEServer.
We do use the PHP SCL contribution on our test server so we can test on a more
up to date version of PHP but that isn't the one with the problem anyway. I'm
pretty sure the mail log pointer was something installed into the php.ini file
by Sendmail-Wrapper.
