AS I suspected, I hadn't copied the file
etc/e-smith/templates/etc/e-smith/web/panels/manager/cgi-bin/.awstats/awstats.conf/10conf
over properly.

Updated package for download - should say 2018-07-19
(I also got in a muddle over which directory to put them too. You should be
able to get install it direct from the reetp repo but might need to clean
metadat first)
I might still have to add REGEX for each IP address as mine still has an issue
with addresses added via SkipHosts key. Need to test that tomorrow.
As far as I understand they should ONLY need escaping like:
1\.2\.3\.4\.
However it might be better do it for all addresses, not just local networks.
See how you get along please.
