The file came from one of the github forks of phpki - pointed out by John C.
I just downloaded it and tested it with my current installation. I guess I
should have looked at it more closely.
I understand your concern. If you wish I'll do some more work on it and see if
I can get a version with JUST the ereg / preg_replace changes in it.
