SSL ibay error

Add letsencrypt certificates to your server.
Set an ibay to Internet available and password protected
Go to the URL eg https://my.server.com/someibay
You will see there is no Letsencrypt green padlock and you will get a self
signed certificate warning. Clicking on the favicon gives "Your connection to
this site is not secure"
Once signed in you will get the green padlock and letsencrypt certificate

I presume it is to do with the password authentication somehow, but I have no
idea how to fix this,
