It seems to work. After adding remember=5, a simple restart and changing
password via /user-password the file /etc/security/opasswd started storing
password.

Upon reverting to a previous password I get 'perl: pam_unix(passwd:chauthtok):
new password not acceptable' in /var/log/secure (instead of 'perl:
pam_unix(passwd:chauthtok): password changed for user')

I was able to revert to the 1st password from the 7th, so remember=5 is
respected.

None of this applies to 'Reset password' from
/server-manager/cgi-bin/useraccounts

What I can't test for a while is changing password via Ctrl-Alt-Delete in a
domain, maybe someone could help.

I think this could easily be done via a custom-template or even via db values
included in base.
