I'll do anything to get it on there so I guess we'll be doing it all over
again from scratch. I kept the whole weekend for mdk on my laptop (too bad
its going to get over 30 celsius out here :).
I unpacked the machine wednesday, when booting all kinds of wizards and
stuff popped up so I did what I always do whit new machines: boot up with
the cd and fire up DriveSetup. The machine I have came with a 10 Gb HD,
128 Mb ram, and a sony cd-rw crx700e.
I picked 4 Gb HFD+ for macos91 and thats about it.
Yesterday I finally got the mdk images to bootable cd's (gehe i didnt type
"binary" before issuing a "get Mandreake-blah-ppc.iso" with ftp, so I made
about 5 coasters), and found out the text install was the only way to go.
Nevermind that, but what's more, the detailed partitioning stage was not
there. I think it;s because I got only choice between two levels of
install: epxert and recommended. I choose expert and then at partitioning
time it just kinda does-it-all for me (in the wrong way i'm afraid).
No way near the functionality of the partitioning tool like the graphical
installer has (the one on
http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/demos/PPC/temp).
Anyway I would be very happy with any hints from you.
