not booting

I downloaded the iso and burned a cd from it.  the cd will boot but when you try some thing like:   boot: install-aty128fb   it says:   Loading kernel... Can't open device <cd:0>   Image not found.... try again WARNING ! default_close called ! boot:     can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong?   thanks Mike
