I am having some trouble getting 8.2 PPC to install on my 9600. I have
managed to get to the point where I load the SCSI (mase.o) driver and it does
recognize all of my devices. I did not specify any options when it asked me
to select a driver. It recognizes the CDROM as a Matshita 8024. I get to the
second stage install notification, then, apparently after it mounts, it
begins issuing read errors on the CDROM. Now, I am able to read this CD under
MacOS on this drive, and I am able to read it under Linux on a PC. So I have
to assume both the CD and the drive are both OK. With the CDROM error, I get
a return code of 80000002. Perhaps I should be loading the SCSI driver with
some parameters?
