The issue just hasn't been raised before. I'm in the midst of the tail end of the pending 9.0 release (x86, not PPC), but I'll be happy to look at 8.2 quotas once that is done. If indeed it's not working on 8.2 x86 also, you might post on Mandrake-expert and see if someone has a solution there.
