When I kill dcop they are created and KDE starts into kpersonalizer something very interesting happened: 1) I kill dcop - kde boots (i 'skip' kpersonalizer) 2) I now control alt backspace out of KDE - the .DCOP server files have not been destroyed. 3) upon startx kde starts up (into kpersonalizer) 4) back to 2 But if I "logout" using the menu the DCOP files have been removed and I have to kill dcop again when starting up.
