grrr.. yaboot doesn't like me

Ok, I had to reinstall OS X on my G4 the other day and it reset OF and I suspect messed with yaboot as well. When I boot my G4 now, it takes me right into OS X. So I thew my 8.2 CD in to boot into rescue mode, chrooted /mnt, and tried to run ybin. It tells me that /usr/local/yaboot/yaboot doesn't exist; the /usr/local/yaboot directory does exist, but there is nothing in it.

I had to mount /proc in the chroot to eliminate an error about being unable to write to nvram (setting OF settings I bet), but I can't figure out what's going on here. Trying to look at my G3 doesn't help because the layout for yaboot is a little different.

Any ideas how I can get my cooker install back up and running without doing a reinstall of it as well?
